Qualifications, Training and experience:
Mr. Evans initially undertook a degree in Ecology, with a particular interest in marine habitats. He then completed undergraduate medical training in Exeter and Plymouth, before moving to Wales to train as an eye surgeon.
Mr. Evans undertook extensive fellowship training in Orbital and Oculoplastic surgery in Cardiff, undertaking joint surgeries with neurosurgical and maxillo-facial teams as part of the Skull Base team.
Mr. Evans also undertook additional training in Glaucoma surgery during his time in Cardiff.
Mr. Evans is a highly trained and experienced cataract surgeon with extensive experience of operating under topical anaesthesia.

About Mr. Evans:
Mr. Evans and his wife Kate live in South Devon and enjoy sailing, camping and swimming in the sea and rivers near their home. Mr. Evans also enjoys Kitesurfing and freediving.
Mr. Evans has invented and developed a novel medical device to make injections into the eye for macular degeneration safer and more comfortable, which is now available and in use around the world.
Mr. Evans has pioneered new approaches to the provision of certain aspects of eye care – in particular around appropriate use of resources within the NHS, approaches which are now being introduced around the country.
