Mr Quinn was exceptional - I can not recommend him highly enough.  I have struggled with high myopia and switching between glasses and contact lenses for a number of years. The initial assessment by a very kind and personable Mr Peter Simcock was very comprehensive with everything explained in as much detail as I wanted after a thorough eye examination. I received excellent advice on which type of lens would be best for me. I felt very well looked after by a large team of people before during and after the surgery. In the evening after the operation, I had a concern about my eye so sent a text message to Mr Simcock and I was very impressed by a quick reassuring reply answering my concern. I also had a follow up call the next day which was fantastic. Absolutely Brilliant service by Mr Peter Simcock and his team at Exeter Eye.

The whole process has been exemplary. Swift, painless and with very little post operative discomfort. After wearing glasses for over twenty years, my vision is absolutely amazing. From my initial consultation, she was friendly, professional and explained everything clearly, answering all of my questions and putting me completely at ease. The operation itself was quick and went very smoothly. I experienced minimal bruising afterwards and my recovery has been much better than I expected. Throughout the whole process, I felt I was in safe and experienced hands. Miss Irvine and her team provided excellent care from start to finish and I would highly recommend her to anyone considering blepharoplasty. Both eyes given lens replacements, about 3 weeks apart. Second, and obviously last, was earlier this week.  Everything clearer and wonderfully brighter.  Could recommend highly enough.

I was terrified to have the cataract surgery but my surgeon Neil Bowley plus his anaesthetist were so caring and understanding and I can honestly say it didn't hurt. I contacted Exeter Eye because I had a slight blurring in my left eye where I’d had refractive lens replacement surgery 18 months ago. Chantelle was excellent and set up an appointment with Mr Quinn. He conducted a very straightforward laser procedure called a laser capsulotomy and within a day my vision was back to being perfect.  I find the whole team at Exeter Eye are superb. Cataract audit:
Provides an opportunity for providers to update benchmark standards of care for cataract surgery across the UK.

It aims to drive improvements in the quality of care for patients undergoing cataract surgery by identifying variations in access to, and outcomes of, cataract surgery.

The audit is an important quality assurance measure of the most frequently performed surgical procedure undertaken in the NHS.

Exeter Eye submit our cataract surgery outcomes data to the Royal College of Ophthalmologists National Ophthalmology Database.

NOD audits aim to provide real-world benchmarks and enable patients, providers and commissioners to compare clinical outcomes and key care processes at different sites. This will enable informed decision-making and patient choice.
