Exeter Eye sponsor BSCC event in aid of disability cricket

The new home for Budleigh Salterton Cricket Cub was the perfect setting for the Midsummer Night dinner and dance on Saturday June 22 in aid of disability cricket.

This sell-out event, held to raise money for the provision of cricket for those with physical or learning disabilities, took place at The Holt, a state of the art new hub for cricket in the South West and the new home for BSCC.

Exeter Eye were the main sponsor for the black-tie event which, as well as a three course meal, featured live music, welcome drinks in the sunshine on the terrace and a fundraising auction.

Disability Cricket Skills

Combined with the takings from the club’s summer draw, also sponsored by Exeter Eye, the event raised £5,400 to help fund SEND cricket, table cricket for those with limited mobility and cricket for the visually impaired.

The club has already been recognised as a disability champion by the ECB and these funds will help volunteers build on that foundation.
