Open all optometrists in the Exeter, Devon area so please feel free to extend the invite to colleagues at your practice who may also be interested in attending.
This lecture will cover basic macular anatomy and how it relates to OCT appearance then discuss the common pathologies seen in optometric practice. More complex cases will be presented together with important rare but “not to be missed” conditions.
There will be a discussion on how the OCT appearance can relate to retinal function and guidance on what needs referral to the Hospital Eye Service.
Finally, there will be a discussion on how these imaging technologies are evolving and their future in relation to Artificial Intelligence.

A light supper will be provided, as well a tour of the facility for those who have not yet been to Admiral House.
The programmes are being submitted for CET points from the General Optical Council.
